Mildred Allen Adams, 95, of Hoxie Gorge NY, went to be with her Lord May 24 ,2012 at the Crown Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born March 4, 1917 in Scott NY, daughter of the late Ralph and Cora Hyson McConnell. Mrs. Adams was an area resident all her life. She had been a longtime member of the Faith Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed playing cards. Her Lord and her family were the two most important things to Mildred. She was always there for her family and those in need who needed her care and love. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Allen of Nedrow NY, her sons Carl (Bev) Allen of Hoxie Gorge NY, Raymond (Gloria) Allen of Melbourne Fl., daughter in laws Bert Allen of Blodgett Mills NY, Patricia Allen of Daytona Beach Fl., sixteen grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren, eleven great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, including her beloved niece Barbara Crandall and beloved nephew Max Stoker. In addition to her parents and all her siblings she was predeceased by the love of her life Richard Allen, sons Milton and Clifford, grandchildren Richard and Gerri. A calling hour will be held Wednesday 11 am-12 noon at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc 9 Lincoln Ave Cortland NY, with a funeral service to begin 12 noon at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave Cortland NY, 13045 . Burial will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery , Blodgett Mills.
