Marian L. Schemerhorn 84, 0f Cortland passed away July 14, 2012 in Crown Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. Marian was born November 26, 1927 in Cortland, the daughter of the late Alton B and Leah Parker. Marian had been employed at Cortland Line, and then stayed home to take care of her family. She was an avid gardener but most of all enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Marian is survived by her sons: Gary (Nancy) Schemerhorn of Cortland and Roger Schemerhorn of Syracuse. Her grandchildren Erin, Christina, Jennifer and Amy and 6 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents Marian was predeceased by her husband Nelson, brothers James and Wilson Parker. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home 9 Lincoln Ave. Cortland Interment will be in Cortland Rural Cemetery Friends are invited to call from 11:00 am €“ 12:45pm prior to the service at the funeral home To offer on line condolences visit www.wright-beard.com We are sorry for your loss.
