Pauline Parker Batsford 74, of Cortland passed away Wednesday November 21, 2012
at her home after a short illness.
She was born in Willet on Aug 23, 1938 to Dewey and Freida Sternbergh.
She attended Cincinnatus High School. She retired after 21 years as the
Cortlandville Town Clerk.
She is survived by her husband of 11 years Homer Batsford of Cortland, three
sons Biagio Butch Abbatiello of Washington, DC, Michael (Jill) Abbatillo of
Marathon, and Mark (Linda) Abbatiello of Saratoga: two daughters, Darla Abbiello
of Kauai, Hawaii and Cheryl (Gary) Stockton of Moracia: two stepsons Karl
(Kathy) Parker of Syracuse, and John (Karla) Parker of Penfield: two step
daughters Debra (Bill ) VanAtta of McGraw and Stacy (Bill) Rogers of McGraw. She
is also survived by her brother Robert (Bev) Sternbergh of Greene and Florida,
and her sisters Arlene Knuff of Misty Glen, Cortland Regional Medical Center,
and Rita Youngs of Deland, Fla., and several nieces, nephews grandchildren and
great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Monday at the McGraw Methodist Church;
Burial will be in the Willet Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held from 2-6 pm on Sunday at the Wright-Beard Funeral
Home 9 Lincoln Ave. Cortland,

So sorry for your loss. Pauline was a wonderful friend to my Mom and Dad and has been a "voice of wisdom" for myself many, many times. I am glad to have had the chance to see Pauline in NY at my Mom's Funeral - it gave me the chance to sit and talk to an old friend. She sure helped me make sense of what was going on.
