Stacey Lee Greenwood Utter, 45, formerly of Cortland and currently of Forestport NY, died unexpectedly June 11 , 2013.
Stacey had been employed locally as manager at Payless Foods, Dollar Bazaar, and most recently at Marietta Corp.
Stacey will be remembered as a loving mother figure not only to her own children but to many other children. She showed her love of children by running her own day center. She wore her heart on her sleeve and provided the best she could for her family and extended family. Stacey enjoyed cooking, collecting wicker baskets and items, along with an affection for hummingbirds. Her memberships included the VFW, Eagles, and American Legion Auxiliaries.
She is survived by her children Desiree Mannino, Richard Williams, and Jody Leonard, her parents Danny and Anne Kaminski, Darrell Greenwood Sr., her brother Darrell (Lorie) Greenwood Jr., grandson Carmen Mannino, several aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins.
She was predeceased by her grandparents Henry and Mary Gillette, William and Anna Greenwood, her aunts Doris West, Delores Teeda Rainbow, Judie (Gillette) Carl, and Katie (Gillette) Lang.
Calling hours will be Saturday 11 am-12:45 pm with a funeral service to begin 1 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY, 13045. Burial will be private at the St. Marys Cemetery, Cortland, at a later time.
Contributions may be made to the Cortland YWCA Childrens Day Care or Caring Community Hospice of Cortland County.

i am sorry to hear about your loss. stacey worked for me at the golden skillet restaurant in cortland. i remember how friendly she was and also to the children that came. she was also friends with my wife, joann, who passed in april. my prayers to you. stanley smith
