Dawn M. Elster 76, of Cortland passed away January 23, 2014 in Cortland Regional Medical Center. Dawn was born January 30, 1937 in Ithaca, the daughter of the late Clifford and Louise Mundie Hopkins. Dawn was a loving mother and grandmother, her family was her life. Dawn is survived by her sons: Donald (Nancy) Elster of Groton, Dale (Jannette) Elster of Auburn, daughters: Linda (Bill) Elster , Susan (Gary) McCracken, and Carlene (Gary) McCall all of Cortland, her brother Clifford (Kitty) Hopkins of Florida, sister Lois Horton, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Dawn was predeceased by her husband Donald Elster Sr. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm Monday at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home 9 Lincoln Ave. Cortland Interment will be in Cortland Rural Cemetery. Friends are invited to call from 11:00 am – 12:45 Pm prior to the service.
