Richard - I still remember our time together in Cub Scouts. Your mom was our Den Mother and one time we all met at your house on Graham Avenue. The garage at the end of the driveway was open and your dad had us all whittling the propellers for the weather vanes he had us making. We did a lot of sanding that day while your dad cut the 1/4" mahogany plywood tail sections for each of us. When we were finished we held our creations up and a gust of wind came, pushing the tail section so that those homemade wood propellers swung around, pointing into the wind and boy did they spin. That was a magic time.
I also recall your mom letting us tag along to a recording session where your mom was teaching a music lesson. Bruce Mackie of WKRT was there with her under these very bright, hot lights. Closed circuit television was bringing the same music lesson to small schools around the county - where they could not afford a full time music instructor. That was 50 years ago!
Good memories.
