Wilbur Frederick Randall, 93, of Venice, FL and formerly of Cincinnatus, NY went peacefully home to be with his Lord on Monday, April 14, 2014 from the Venice Regional Medical Center. He was born in Cincinnatus, the son of the late Wilbur B. Randall and the late Alice Rorapaugh Randall. He was also preceded in death by his beloved 1st wife of 53 years, Frances Delanoy Randall, his 2nd wife Gladys Delanoy Totman Randall, one brother and five sisters.
Fred was a lifelong resident of Cincinnatus until 1986 when he moved to Venice. He was a 1939 graduate of Cincinnatus High School and had been a dairy farmer in Cincinnatus for many years. He was an insurance agent for Farm Family Life Insurance Co. from 1954-1962 and was owner operator of Fritz-Randall Insurance Co. from 1969-1982, both in Cincinnatus. For many years, he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cincinnatus, where he had served as a Deacon, a Trustee and a Sunday School Teacher. He was Past President of the Cincinnatus Cemetery Association, a past member of the Cortland County Farm Bureau, the Cincinnatus Town Board, and the Cincinnatus School Board. He was also active in many other community organizations throughout his life. After moving to Venice, he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Venice and sang with the Venice Barbershoppers.
He is survived by four children, Wilbur (Kathleen) Randall and Calvin (Ruth) Randall both of Concord, NC, Rebecca (Dale) Bates of Cincinnatus and Mark (Maria) Randall of Collierville, TN, 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be conducted in June at the First Baptist Church of Cincinnatus. Interment will be in Cincinnatus Cemetery following the service.
