Uncle Lefty, I am Blessed to have known and had such a wonderful Uncle like you..You have always been by my side when i was growing up. No one could hurt me when you were around. You were like a father to me. I loved when you use to put your kids and My Moms kids in the blue station wagon and take us Christmas caroling,to make a few dollars, extra spending money for us kids. Because we were so poor growing up. I loved when you got me out of the city and took me fishing..Oh my god and Mickey D's you would treat us all too..only 15 cents a burger back in the day..but back then that was a lot of money. When you got paid you treated your sister Gladys kids too. You was a kind hearted man, beautiful smile and loved to plant gardens ,fish and loved your animals.. I miss you the way we were back in the day.. And wish you stayed in New Jersey, so i could have spent the rest of your years around me...Your up there with Grandma and you siblings now, watching over us with your angel wings.I will see you one day my Uncle. As for now i will always have specials memories of you.Love you and miss you, your Niece Judy (RIP) Sunny

I enjoyed a few words with our neighbor Earl on maybe a half dozen occasions over the past thirty years. We would always smile when we saw him out walking the dog. Two or three different pups over the years. Dog walkers are the best people.
For many years we did not know his name - which is sadly the way things are these days with regard to neighbors. He used to wear a pair of red slacks and we got to calling him Mr. Red Pants (just between my wife and I). He was a kind soul and I was always pleased when we took the time to chat and he told me about his garden plot at the edge of town. He and I shared the same problem when it came to having a garden in the yard. Our better halves would not let any of the trees or their branches be cut. And without a bit of sun reaching the ground it was impossible for garden plants to thrive.
We will miss our kind and quiet neighbor.
