Sue A. (Santuae) Hastings of, Shrewsbury, MA died Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at home surrounded by her family. Prior to moving to Shrewsbury, she was a resident of Groton and Homer New York. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Roger Hastings.
She leaves behind her daughter Susan Watkins and husband Wayne of Shrewsbury, MA and son Steven and wife Stacy, of Batavia, IL. Also, five grandchildren, Leslie (Stephen) Gilleo, Carrie (Rob) Charney, Christa, Patrick, and Eric Hastings; three great grandchildren, Owen and Clara Gilleo and Sienna Charney.
She is survived by sisters Victoria Poerio (Joseph) of Cortland, NY; Ruth Redmond of Syracuse, NY; Barbara Moffitt of Richmond, VA and brother Theodore Santuae of Boulder Colorado . Her sister Mickeleene Griffin (Donald) recently predeceased her.
Sue was a longtime resident of Groton NY where she belonged to St. Anthony's parish, Stone Hedges Country Club and was a member of The Columbian Club. She and Roger moved to Homer, NY and were members of St. Margaret's Church and the Cortland Country Club.
Funeral Services will be at Wright-Beard Funeral Home at 9 Lincoln Avenue, Cortland, NY on May 24, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. with burial in St. Anthony's Cemetery in Groton, NY. A memorial mass was held on Thursday, May 15, 2014 in Shrewsbury, MA.
