Obituary of Frances S. Weber

Frances Yacavone Weber passed away at Groton Community Health Care Center on June 28, 2014. She was born on Feb. 10, 1919 in Leonardsville, NY to the late George J. and Irma Greenleaf Schumacher.
She is predeceased by her parents and siblings: Helen, Ruth, Martha, Margaret, Jean and George Jr.
Frances was married to Arthur B. Yacavone for 47 years and to Robert J. Weber for 12 years. Both predeceased Frances.
She is survived by her children: Joan (Jack) McHugh of Round Rock, TX, Gary (Nancy) of Fleming Island, FL, Cynthia (Gary) Eberhart of Cortland, NY, Peter (Suzanne) of Evansville, IN, and Catherine (Bernard) McGraw of Brewerton, NY. She had 9 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
Frances enjoyed a full life, raising five children, singing in the Baptist and Presbyterian choirs, volunteering with the Hospital Auxiliary, was an avid golfer and loved her daily cross-word puzzle solving. She enjoyed traveling; her travels took her to Europe, the Caribbean, western USA, and Alaska.
A Memorial service and Interment will be alongside her husband Arthur, at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Cortland, NY at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wright-Beard Funeral Home.
