Obituary of Hazel D. Mendillo

Hazel D. Mendillo, 93, formerly of Cortland, passed away November 23, 2014 in Milford, Massachusetts. Mrs. Mendillo had been a longtime resident of Cortland. She retired in 1983 from the Cortland County Motor Vehicle Dept. Hazel had been a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church in Cortland and had served the church as a Eucharistic minister and greeter, and was a past officer and member of the Altar Society. Mrs. Mendillo is survived by her four children; Sharon (Fred) Circio of Cornelius, NC, Ann Circio of Cortland, Marguerite (Greg) Duncan of Milford, Mass., and Paul (Kathryn) Mendillo of Cortland. Her nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Mrs. Mendillo was predeceased by her husband Paul in 1994 and her son in law Art Davenport in 2009. A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony’s Church on Tuesday December 9, 2014 at 11:00 AM. With the Rev. Joseph Zareski serving as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
