Virginia S. Booth 87, of Homer, passed away November 29, 2014. Virginia was born October 12, 1927 in Cortland, the daughter of the late Philip and Frances Woodward Springer. Virginia graduated from the Homer Academy as Class Valedictorian, She was the last graduate of the Cortland Conservatory Music, then went on to graduate from the Eastman School of Music. Virginia had been a music teacher for the Dryden Central School District. And SUNY Cortland Her memberships include the NYS Retired Teachers Association, Cortland County Retired Teachers Association, and was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church of Homer, Virginia is survived by her husband of 32 years Herbert M. Booth of Homer, several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 11:00am at the 1st United Methodist Church of Homer, with the Reverend Carol Keller officiating. Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery Homer.
