Obituary of Makayla M VanDusen

Makayla M. Van Dusen, 19, of Owego NY died December 19, 2014 the result of a motor vehicle accident, (she was too young to die). She was born April 18, 1995 in Cortland. Makayla graduated from Cortland Alternative School in 2013. She had a great love of the outdoors enjoying camping, boating, hunting and fishing. Her family will cherish her memory as loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, and aunt whom was kind hearted to all she knew especially young children. She is survived by her mother Debra (Jim Kehl and his family) Hatheway of Owego, her father Daniel (Rebecca O'Donnell and her family) Van Dusen of Cortland, her brothers William (Taylor) Hatheway of Homer, Daniel Van Dusen II of Cortland, maternal grandmother Diane Abrams of Cortland, paternal grandparents Barbara and Richard Van Dusen, many aunts, uncles, her four yr. old nephew Jude, and her boyfriend Erick Sharpsteen. Calling hours will be held Saturday 11 am-1 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY, 13045.
