Mrs. Keeney (which is how I remember her) was my English teacher in 9th and 10th grades. Her weekly vocab tests have been a huge benefit to me my entire life. My Senior year I was to give a speech at graduation and my Senior English teacher (and I cannot remember her name) had been after me to complete it so that she could proofread it. Well finally I skipped choir practice (sorry Mrs. Gros) and after school I went to Mrs. Keeney for her to proof read it. Of course as I was in Mrs. Keeney's classroom guess who stops by? You guessed it my Senior English teacher and she looks at me and says "is that your speech?"
My condolences to the family and just wanted to let you know the lasting impact she had on my life.

Jim and Family, Sorry to hear of Terry's passing. She was a wonderful teacher, great colleague, and loyal friend. We had so many great times together and shared some sad times as well. The last time we were together we had so little time to catch up. May God grant you peace and comfort in this time of loss.

I have great memories in high school English with her. Lists of spring flowers as they burst from the ground after a long winter, Beowulf, The Taming of the Shrew, backgammon at lunch, The Liberated Cinderella one act play, Billy Budd....she introduced us all to so much...she changed the world one student at a time. Bless you Terry. Rest in peace.
