Obituary of Barbara J Shutts

Barbara Shutts, 68, of Cortland, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, at Cortland Regional Medical Center. Born September 16 1946, in Cortland NY, she moved around Central NY, as her family grew in size and love. Barbara was passionate about so many things- frogs, scratch offs, but first and foremost she was a dedicated mom and Nana. Barbara is survived by her five children, Randy (Mindy) Cole, Tina Little, Valerie Allen, Eddie (Rhonda Kowalski) Porter, and Kandy Porter; her 15 grandchildren, Cheryl, Bailey and Bentley Cole; Teresa Little, Crystal and Chanel Stroman; Ashley Michael Allen and James Wells; Erica Porter, Dana and Makayla Oltz; and Cilene Mayo, Marissa and Amber Porter; as well as three great-grandchildren, Kasen, Julian and Elijah. She is predeceased by her parents, Dorothy and Harold Pierce. A Time of Sharing will be offered at 3pm, Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Cortland NY. Friends are invited to call prior to the service from 2 to 3pm. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, can be made to the American Cancer Society.
