For those who knew Kelly, saying she was a kind gentle soul only begins to describe what a wonderful woman and friend she was. I most love the endless laughs we shared, often enjoying the same laughs over again. She has forever touched the hearts of everyone in my family, especially my children and me. I will always love my dear friend.

I knew Kelly in high school, and had only over the last few months re-connected with her on-line. I've posted here a picture of us back then. As we approach July 4th this year, some of us in that picture were planning an upcoming gathering and were looking forward to trying to convince Kelly to join us, so we could build a new and lasting friendship in person with an old friend. We were deeply saddened to learn of her passing. We thought we had so much time left to get re-acquainted and enjoy her company. Instead, we'll remember her as she was in the picture - always sweet and always smiling. Even back then, I never heard her complain and I had only heard of her health issues, which she handled with grace and dignity, through others. As I read her more recent emails, her conscious decision to have a positive outlook came shining through, just as I had remembered her. I hope these memories from an old friend are a comfort to her family as they try to carry on without her.

Good times years ago. This is how I remember Kelly - sweet, and always with a smile. This is one of my favorite pictures - my friends and I.
