Was so sorry to earn of Mr Wanish's passing.
My mother was Anne R Kubik Vanish ( I guess the Chicago Wanish's
Changed their name to Vanish (Or vice versa))
My grandpa and grandma were Joseph Vanish and Antoinette Vanish
Both came here from Europe
Mr grandma was born in 1898. I'm not quite sure when my grandpa was born, but it was also near then.
My mother and Aunt La Verne would speak of their relatives in Cortland, New York sometimes, but I never realized you all had the Wanish last name and not Vanish.
Once again, I am sorry for your loss, but it sounds like he had a great life!!!

John,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I don’t have to tell you what a special place you and your Dad hold in my life, but just know I am now experiencing so many wonderful memories of your Dad and the beautiful times shared on a tiny golf course in the middle of New York State. He was a wonderful man and was always kind to this kid. I hope to see you at the end of next month when I am up there…where we’ll make a toast to Charlie together.
