I am saddened to see Larry's passing. I had just talked with him while dining at Applebee's two weeks ago. I enjoyed working with him at Red Cross during my years as an instructor and the Director of Health and Safety Services. I did enjoy his sense of humor and wry viewpoints on life.

I only met Larry once at a STEAM meeting in January of this year. He was a great addition to the membership, Knowledgeable and easy going. I found out we had a common interest in woodworking. He was very excited about filling his home with Mission Furniture made by himself (a daunting task if you ask me) and he was eager to start. I am sorry that I didn't get to know him any better than that one meeting because I think he would have been a great friend.

To Autumn, Sarah, and Laura,
We were very saddened to hear about the passing of your father. You may not remember us, but we lived in Cortland back in the 1980's and had many happy times playing D&D with the group. We remember your dad as being such a kind, interesting, gentle man. The world is a little sadder with him gone. Please accept our heart-felt sympathy.
Sincerely,
Kathy and Vince Zarrella

I will always remember Larry as someone who always found a way to light a candle rather than curse the darkness. He was always willing to share his knowledge about everything and so enthusiastic about everything life has to offer. So sad that he is gone too soon.
