I knew Harley at the Wilkins Company when I worked in the office. He was a great boss and often tossed in a gem of his wisdom. A paraphrase of one I have remembered is,
"When I began a new endeavor I would try to enter very low key, like smoke coming under a door." He was a good listener as well as the ubiquitous storyteller.

Our condolences to Harley's family. We knew Harley (and Terri) in the early 1980s when we worshipped at (then) Memorial Baptist Church. Harley's love for our Lord was palpable; we are so grateful God lead us to that fellowship to be nurtured and mentored by Harley and Terri.
Harley is now with our Lord, praise be to God. Our prayers for God's Shalom flow to his family.

Ed and I are so sorry to learn about Harley's passing. Our prayers go out to the family at this difficult time. We are so glad we were able to spend a nice evening visiting at our table during Sally and Rob's Golden anniversary. There are so many memories: Memorial Baptist, our couples' get-togethers, dinners at C4Arts, and random encounters in our community. We enjoyed his wit, stories and warm personality. As Ed says, "He was a good guy."

Mr. Albro played a large part in my success as an educator in Homer Jr. High. I will never forget his mentoring, his caring of both faculty and children, and most of all, his laughter and sense of humor. His words still echo in my mind, as he always served to guide me and the young staff at the junior high in the 1970's.
The last time I spoke to Mr. Albro 2 years ago, he told me how proud he was of the numerous teachers who went on to become superintendents, college professors, and award recipients. He always remembered details of my life, such as the number of children I had and what they became in life. His interest in everyone was endearing.
Mr. Albro's passing is a huge loss to the community. He is unforgettable!
My love and sympathy to the Albro family!

Good-bye to Harley -- one of the finest men I have ever known and been privileged to call my friend. Your passing saddens me, but we know this was in God's timing and that you now rejoice in his presence, something you have desired and waited for over many years. I am sure your heavenly greeting was rambunctious and joyous with many friends and family awaiting your arrival. Good for you. Although you are gone, we have the assurance that it is only temporary, and I anticipate all of eternity to renew our fellowship.
To Terry and the rest of the family, our deepest condolences. We both grieve and rejoice with you. May the comfort of the Holy Spirit carry you through this time. We are sorry that we will not be able to be with you at services, as we are in northern Michigan right now and will not be able to return home at this time.
May God's grace be with you always,
David & Charlene
