Anthony Manderano, 95, of Cortland, passed away August 1, 2015 at home with family by his side. He was born May 10, 1920 in Guttenberg NJ, the son of the late Dominic and Josephine Paino Manderano.
Mr. Manderano served with the US Army during WWII, Asia-Pacific Theatre. After being honorably discharged he came to visit family in Cortland, it was then that he met his late wife of Melana, and until her recent passing shared 67 years of marriage. Over the years he had been employed with Wickwire Bros. and SUNY Cortland. His memberships included the American Legion and DAV. Anthony was a member of the Matadors color guard. In his spare time he enjoyed bowling and playing cards.
He is survived by his sons James "Jim" (Romaine) Manderano of GA, Dominic (Bobbie Joe) Manderano of SC, his daughters Stephanie (Richard) Potts of Cortland, Pamela (William) Prindle of Cortland, eighteen grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his wife Melana, his son Michael Manderano, and his siblings George, Andrew, his twin Joseph, Dominick, and Katherine.
Services are private at the convenience of the family. The Wright-Beard Funeral Home is serving the family.
