Helen Talbot, 79, of Solon NY, passed away October 7, 2013 at St. josephs Hospital, Syracuse. She was born May 10, 1934 in Solon the daughter of the late Harvey and Mable Herman Heller, Sr. Helen was a lifelong resident of the area. She had been employed with Jaline Toggs, Fays Drugs and Cortland Corset. Helen had been a longtime member of the New Apostolic Church. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and camping. She is survived by her husband of 26 yrs Dale Talbot of Solon, her sons joseph (Penney Schoneman) Wood of solon, John (Bonnie) Wood of Groton, her daughters Debra (Fred Billarrial) Wood of Altus TX, Patty Ann Gibson, Broken Arrow Ok, step daughter Carol (Tim) Wilmarth of Messengerville NY, step sons Dwight Talbot of Connecticut Hill NY, Gregory Talbot of Ithaca NY, joshua Talbot of Elmira NY, two brothers, David (Phyllis) Heller, John (Mary) Heller, two sisters, Virginia Bennett , and Jean (Michael) Wells, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her first husband Clayton Tink Wood in 1975. Brothers Harvey Heller Jr., and Samuel Heller, sisters Margaret Alexander, Beatrice Strubing, and Martha Kinney Calling hours will be Saturday 10-11 45 am with a funeral to begin 12 noon at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY.
