Barbara V. Kasperek 61, of Cortland passed away September 21, 2012. Barbara was born October 12, 1950 in North Syracuse the daughter of the late Arthur W. and Dorothea Shillabeer Veal. Barbara had been employed at Rubbermaid, Alliance Bank, and most recently with the Pall Corporation in the Human Resource office. She enjoyed reading and gardening, and had been a board member of the YWCA, Oswego- Onondaga County BOCES and the United Way of Cortland County Barbara is survived by her husband Walter, her children Ellen Kasperek of TN, Daniel Kasperek of Oswego, her sister Janice Smith of Fayetteville, aunts Lucille and Dorothyann Veal both of San Diego. Ca. several nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will be celebrated 10:30 am Monday at St. Margarets Church Homer. Friends are invited to call Sunday from 4-7 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home 9 Lincoln Ave. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Barbs name my be directed to the American Brain Tumor Association 8550 W.
