Deb King was the most grounded person I knew when I worked at Catholic Charities of Chenango County. She was smart, compassionate, level headed, and one of the largest-hearted people I ever met. I am so very sorry for your loss. Sadly, June Georgia

I'm so very sorry for the loss of Deborah King. She was one of the most kind, caring, and gentle person I have ever met. The love of her family, their friends, and her desire to do for others was what made her a standout. She often was behind the scenes, but a driving force in helping others accomplish their goals. For example, I was so impressed by the colorful vests she made for Derek's orchestra friends, and her giving nature was truly from her heart. She was soft spoken, but always concerned about the comfort and well being of others. I truly believe she was an angel on earth! I knew Debbie as a loving, supportive, and so very proud parent of her son, Derek. My son, Ryan, went to elementary school at Parker with Derek, and continued to be classmates through graduation. Since Derek and Ryan were involved in many similar activities, it was common to see Ken and Debbie supporting their son, but also the other young people involved in the activities, particularly those that didn't have parents in attendance. I'm sure Derek received his enthusiasm and positive outlook for life, in part, due to the support, strength, and love from his Mom. Debbie was indeed a role model for living a productive, supportive, quality, caring, friendly, generous, and helpful lifestyle, always with a gently sense of humor. I was blessed to have known her...she was an inspiration to me, although she probably didn't realize that! My heartfelt condolences to Derek, Ken, and her family/close friends. Please know you are in my prayers, thoughts, and heart. I am so sad for your loss, prayers for you. Love, Cindy Troy
