To all of Mario's family,
My heart goes out to all of you in your loss of Mario. What a good person he was, and he will be greatly missed by many. George and I enjoyed so much when Lindy and Mario would come spend afternoons with us here in Fort Lauderdale. Then when he maintained our association pool, we got to see him more often. We had good conversations, lots of laughs, abd shared memories of Cortland.
My sympathy, thoughts, and prayers are with all of you during this very difficult time.
Love to all,
Jan Stokoe

To Essie and family,
I was saddened to learn of Mario's passing. It has been so many years since I spent time at your Warren Street and Little York Lake homes. Kathy was my best friend when we were little and I always felt like part of your family. Like so many others, I remember Mario as a young boy--sweet, kind, and full of mischief as we all played and ran through the house and most memorably the time we spent in the water at the lake or the YWCA. My love of swimming is deeply associated with your family.
I loved your household! All the kids and fun and laughter; it was always a delightful time to spend with the Vangeli family. May memories like this strengthen you all during this difficult time, and know that Mario (like Kathy) will always hold a very special place in my heart as I know he does for so many others.
Blessings and prayers to you and yours.

Essie & family,
No words can truly express the depth of the loss of your son and brother. I graduated with Kathy and her loss was immense but now to lose another sweet, kind, soul like Mario at such a young age seems unimaginable and unfair.
We cannot try to understand why this is so but this much we DO know. The world was a much better place because Mario graced it with his presence. And this much I believe - love never dies. The memories and moments he shared with family and friends lives on in each one he touched. For those who believe in signs, he may still say hello with a song on the radio, a long lost memento suddenly found at an opportune moment, or just a summer breeze. I remember Mario as a good, sweet, honest young man - and that's how he shall remain in my heart. I hope you will find many reasons to smile amidst the tears as you recall a life well-lived. My thoughts are with you all. <3
