Betty L. Robison 86, formerly of Cortland passed away December 18, 2015 at Penfield Nursing Home. She was born July 15, 1929, a daughter of the late Reno and Hazel Freeland (Comfort) in Cortland, NY. Betty married the late Arthur G. Robison on June 19, 1949. Betty attended Cortland Schools. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, and was employed at SUNY Cortland before retiring in 1987. Betty enjoyed knitting, doing yard work and keeping her house clean. Betty especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Betty was predeceased by her husband and 4 brothers. She is survived by two brothers Carol Freeland, Lockport NY and Harold Freeland, Apache Junction AZ; one sister Arlene Bushey (Freeland), Cortland; one daughter Charlene Glezen (Robison), Cortland; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and several special nieces and nephews. Betty was especially thankful for her granddaughter Lisa Decker (Lamborn), her husband Gary and their sons Matthew Schrader and Gary Fred, her caregivers for the past several years. Calling hours will be Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 1-3 PM at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland; followed by a Funeral Service at 3PM. Burial will take place in the spring at Groton Rural Cemetery, Groton, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to Penfield Place Activities Fund, 1700 Penfield Rd, Penfield, NY 14526
