Obituary of Julianna "Julie" Mahon

Julianna Wayman Mahon (Julie) 39, of Auburn NY passed away at her home January 1, 2016. She was born March 15, 1976. Julianna was best known for her vivacious, "love out loud" personality, her love for her family and friends, and her vibrant passion for life. Julie grew up in Cortland, and graduated from Cortland High School, and then from TC3 with a degree in nursing. Julianna jumped into her career with both feet. She found she had a love for the adrenaline packed Emergency Room, leading her to obtain her Trauma Nurse Certification. Her compassion, drive, and dedication to her patients made her a favorite in the ER. Julianna gained so much more than a career every time she went in to work, she gained a second family as she took her place within the sisterhood nursing. Julianna's quirky sense of humor lead her and her children on many fun adventures, from eating invisible nachos to dance offs with big feather boas. Her love of life always shined bright. Julianna is survived by her husband Jefferson Mahon, her daughter Abigail Schloupt 21, her twins Maxwell and Grace 12, her son Jack 10, her parents David and Carol Wayman of Cortland, her siblings Lynniece Coughlin of DeRuyter, Eric (Kelly) Wayman of Doylestown, PA, Carrie Wayman of Cortland, and Amanda Wayman of Auburn, her Grandmother Diana Robbins of McGraw, as well as many nieces and nephews. Services will be held Tuesday, January 5 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. 3725 Fairview Drive Cortland, NY. Calling hours will be from 5:30-6:30, with the funeral immediately following.
