Mary Calkins Foster Kozdemba of Cortland, NY passed away JAnuary 8, 2016 in Cortland Regional Medical Center. Born in Towanda, Pa ,May 2, 1928, daughter of Mary and Leo Calkins. A graduate of St. Agnes high school, Towanda, Pa. She retired from Westinghouse Electric in Horseheads,NY. MAry was a Communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Cortland. She is survived by two sons, Kevin (Terri) Foster and Andy (Joette) Foster and daughters Lynn (Bob) Ziegenfuss, Julie (John) Foster and Eileen (Craig) Allen. 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Mary was pre-deceased by husbands Earl Foster, Anthony Kozdemba, 3 brothers, and 3 sisters. She volunteered for many years through her church St. Patrick's in Elmira, NY at the Food Pantry, Soup Kitchen, and The Samaritan Center. She also served as Eucharistic Minister at the church. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 1:00 pm Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Cortland, NY. with Fr. Joseph Zareski Presiding.
