Please share a memory of David to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
David P. Marshall, 60 passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016 at his home.
David was a lifelong resident of the Cortland area. He was born March 19, 1956 to Frederick and Ethel Darling Marshall. David was married for 24 years to his wife Jeanette until her death in 2011. He attended both Cortland and Marathon schools, worked for many years at Cole Muffler and most recently at Suit-Kote.
David enjoyed spending time with friends and family, camping, and working out in the yard. He was predeceased by his wife Jeanette Eisenlohr Marshall, parents Fred and Ethel, Sisters Linda and Randa, and Brothers Billy and Randy Marshall.
David is survived by his sons Joshua and Zachary (Melisa Conklin) Marshall. A grandson Jameson David Marshall. His brothers John (Helen) Marshall, Frederick (Rebecca) Marshall, Richard (Lisa) Marshall, Randy (Carol) Raymond and sisters Cindy (Joseph) Seamen and Teresa (Mark) Gleason. His close friends Clifton Dutcher and John Henry Jr., and his mother in law Elfriede Eisenlohr. David also had many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He touched the lives of many in the community.
David was a man of many titles: grandfather, father, son, husband, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, bodyguard…but most importantly friend. Those who knew him best will tell you of a man who loved to tell stories. Always the loudest mouth in the room, even if he was talking out his rear-end. He was as tough as a grizzly bear, but as cuddly as a panda. Could throw a hook like Tyson, but behind the stone was a heart of gold.
Although you will be missed by many here on earth, we will smile knowing you’re where you want to be. Side by side with mom protecting over the love of your life. We miss you already, love your boys….
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
