Robert Wilt Bobby Chamberlain 63 of Cortland passed away August 18, 2012 in the Cortland Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Wilt was born May 24, 1949 in Cortland. Robert worked most of his life farming, before he started working for Gutchess Lumber Company a decade ago; He retired in October of 2011. He is survived by his wife of almost 36 years Barbara Chamberlain, his 3 daughters: Michelle (Randy) Johnson , Jennifer (Michael) Johnson, Stephanie Chamberlain, his granddaughter Leslie Johnson , his parents George and Roberta Samson, his 2 sisters Mary Weatherby and Penny Curtis, 9 more grandchildren 1 great granddaughter, several nieces and nephews , a loving extended family, and his dog Bucky Memorial services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home 9 Lincoln Ave. with the Reverend Alan J Ferguson officiating, interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Friends are invited to call from 11:00 am €“ 1:45 pm prior to the service. The family would like to invite family and friends to join them at the home of Gary Norton 421 Champlain Road Groton at 1:00 pm Saturday for a gathering to share stories and remembrances of Wilt.
