Timothy James Cornell
April 17, 1959 – October 3, 2016
Born on April 17, 1959 in Cortland, NY to Gerald Cornell and Ethel Bottoff Cornell, Timmy passed away from a heart attack on October 3, 2016 in Cortland at age 57.
Timmy lived a simple life and was loved by many. A friend to all who met him, he could add humor to any situation. He helped whomever asked and asked for little in return. Timmy was completely devoted to creating a peaceful and loving family unit.
Timmy loved many things in life; family and friends, camping and hunting, cooking "Timmy's Chicken", cutting wood, gardening, 4-wheeling, golf, anything mechanical and an old hound dog named Jack. He especially loved his children and grandchildren and a large group of friends he considered extended family, for whom he had special nicknames.
Timmy lived to create through his hands and heart. A talented woodworker and carpenter, he built his home and crafted wooden boxes, toys and furniture. Currently employed as manager at Finger Lakes Stone Company, Inc. in Ithaca, NY, he was a dependable team member who took great pride in his work. Past employment included farmer, carpenter and truck driver.
Timmy is survived by his wife of 21 years Beckie Cornell, daughters Anita Bryan (Brian), Bambi Pulsifer (Norm), Chelsey Gonzalez (Brad), Jessica Cornell and Samantha Boyce, seventeen grandchildren, sister Patty Johnson (Marty), brothers David Cornell (Susan) and Ron Cornell (Tracey), many nieces and nephews and his dog Reese.
The family will receive guests at 11:00am on Saturday, October 8 at the McLean Community Church in McLean, NY followed by a noon service. Feel free to wear Camo.
