In the early 90's I worked at a company where I would call Gary seemingly every day to refer a new family or see if he had any ideas because they might have been over income where i worked. He had the most distinctive phone voice :o)
My very sincere condolences.

So saddened to hear of Gary's passing. I met him when I worked at Social Services, then he left our dept. and worked for Office for the Aging. He was always very helpful and good natured! So sorry for your loss. He will be missed.

As I was growing up in Gloversville,NY ,I had three very inspirational relatives.Grandpa Kuehnel(unbelievably active), Uncle Robert (the Godfather of the Kuehnel family),and cousin Gary Hammond. Gary was an inspirational both intellectually and athletically. I'll never forget the years with him in the fifties and sixties. I almost followed him to Union College.
Candy and my last contact with Gary was in 1968 while we were in Syracuse, just before we went our varying ways.
I know that Gary was very successful in passing on the Kuehnel genes. I can only imagine how successful his children and grandchildren have become in furthering Gary's effort to make a better world for future generations.I know he will be missed by all that knew him.
