Dear Judy & Family: We have always admired Don. Michael was always pleased when Don was our usher at Mass. Don would be coming our way with the collection basket & Mike would say "here comes Smiley" with admiration & respect. That was before we knew the two of you! And then when we got to know you both that admiration & respect turned to affection. Also, I believe Don & my Dad, Fritz Snyder, used to run together back in the 1930's! Pops would fondly tell stories about the two of them palling around - going to dances & such. My dad was born in 1920 - so they were of an age & they were both SMHS grads & faithful Catholic men. God blessed us when he sent Donald Leo Johnson to this good earth. And God bless you as you see your wonderful husband & dad off to where we all hope to be one day. Judy, you have both been wonderful examples.

May fond memories of your loved one bring you comfort during this hard time in your life. Look back on all the good memories you were able to have and smile at the fact that you were able to share these before he passed away. My hearts and prayers go out to you and your family. God has promised us that we will soon be reunited with our loved ones. “There is going to be a resurrection,” the Bible confirms at Acts 24:15. “Do not be amazed at this,” Jesus assures us, “for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” (John 5:28, 29)
