Barbara Mae Cook, 91, of Silver Springs MD, passed away November 18, 2016 at her home. She was born July 4, 1925 in Preble NY the daughter of the late Wilfred and Ruby Clark Brenzel. She is survived by her husband Roland H. Cook, her daughters Linda Vaughan and Kathryn Smith, grandchildren Michelle Rhodes, Michael Whitley, William Smith, Joseph Smith, Katelyn Richards, great grandchildren Chase Whitmore, Madalyn Rhodes, Wyatt Rhodes, Tolson Smith, and Cadence Smith. Calling hours will be Friday 4-6 pm with a funeral service to begin 6 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY. Burial will be held at a later time at the Elmwood Cemetery, Preble NY. Contributions may be made to Montgomery Hospice, 1355 Piccard Dr., Suite 100, Rockville MD, 20850.
