Obituary of Claude E. Cole

Claude E. Cole, Jr. 77, of Cortland passed away on January 28, 2017 at Cortland Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was born on March 2, 1939 a son of the late Claude and Lyla Russel Cole, Sr. Claude served his country with the United States Marines from April 1960 to March 1964. He was a member of the Marine Corp League, Devil Dogs, and member of Cortland VFW post #2354, an avid bowler and truly enjoyed spending time with his family. Claude is survived by three sons, Robert (Annie) Cole, Timothy Cole, Patrick (Julie) Cole, two daughters, Shirley Marsted, Margaret (William) Francis, three brothers, Donald (Jackie) Cole, Steven Cole, Robert Cole, one sister, Sylvia Post, six grandchildren, Joshua, Noah, Katie, Dominic, Samantha, Jeffery, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Rita-Carol Cole, two sons, Wayne and Claude III, a grandson Luke Francis, two brothers, Sidney and Emmit. Calling hours are Tuesday, January 31 from 1-3 PM at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave, Cortland, NY.
