Ronald W. Hall, 93, of Homer/Dryden, went to be with the Lord he loved and served on February 3, 2017 at the Cortland Regional Medical Nursing Facility. He was born January 25,1924 in Cortland, the son of the late Charles and Lula Robbins Hall. Mr. Hall had been a lifelong resident of the area. He was a veteran of WWII, serving with the U.S. Marine Corp. He was honorably discharged in 1946 achieving the rank of Corporal. His past employment includes Wickwire Bros., Brewer Titchenor Corp., Smith Corona, and most recently the Elizabeth Brewster House. He was a longtime member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance. He served in the Crown Alliance Church as Lay Preacher, greeter, and song leader. He had volunteered at the Cortland Care Center and the Elizabeth Brewster House. He enjoyed singing, playing guitar and harmonica. He is survived by his wife of 74½ yrs., Edith Webster Hall, his son David (Lorraine) Hall, his daughter Linda (John) Prentice, grandchildren Karen (Prentice-Duprey), Daniel, Vickie (VanCamp), Kimberly (Stowell), and Michael, and eleven great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Dryden Baptist Church, 138 Virgil Rd., Dryden, NY at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 7. Spring burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery, Fabius NY. The Hall family would like to extend heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff at Misty Glen and Hospice for their loving care.
