Obituary of Samantha Brafman

Samantha M. Brafman Tragically our little Samantha left us on April 18, 2017. She was born Dec. 1, 2000, the daughter of Carol & Ken "Abe" Brafman. She was a passionate reader, writer, and musician, playing the flute and euphonium. Samantha was also an avid field hockey player for Cortland High School and acknowledged one-act play writer where she attended as sophomore. She was a friend to all, always there to lend a helping hand or a comforting word or compliment. Samantha leaves her twin sister Meredith, younger brother Zachary, older sister Chelsea, and parents Carol and Abe. A memorial service will occur at 9 am Friday, April 21, at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY, with a private family graveside burial to follow. Family will be available Friday 11 am to receive following the burial at the Port Watson Mini-Conference Center, 131 Port Watson St., Cortland NY. In lieu of flowers, donations on behalf of the family can be made out to "Guardian Behavioral Health Foundation."
