I'm so sorry for your loss. Harold was a great man with a special soul unlike any other I've met. I was reflecting back on memories and he was in my thoughts. It's heart breaking to learn of this. and Donna, joe and the family are all in my prayers. Miss you all. I'd stop by the flower stand after getting coffee sometimes and chat with him from time to time. I wish I stayed a little longer...It made me smile thinking of him before I found the news. I'll share it here too. Maybe someone else can smile. He was one of the best guys I've met. And a hell of a fisherman. still to this day I have yet to see a Perch and walleye as big as those. I remember the day. Me and joe were soaked from fishing the whole day. Walked miles of the river. Morning into the night. Cast after cast. Snag after snag. Lure after lure. We got skunked. Well Harold picked us up that night in truxton, youngs crossing, no joke, and is no fishing story, we finally get across the corn fields, joe and I, and there's the car parked. Harold out of the car standing off to the back near the trunk just smiling. He asked how we did and we said we didnt catch anything except maybe a cold. Then he starts laughing with that laugh and pops the trunk of the car. The trunk opens slowly. There layeth under the lighteth nearly a 10 pound walleye. And under that big ol girl layeth, as well, the biggest perch I've ever seen. the thing was literally like a 4 pound perch. Not kiddin. Ask Joey. When he was done laughing he says. "I've only been here five minutes. And then the laugh began again........Only Harold. Miss ya man.
Rest in paridice my friend.

Rest in Peace. May your family receive peace and love from our Father above as they say their goodbye until His great resurrection.
Growing up with you and knowing what a kind soft spoken man you became was an honor.

I am in shock. I just talked to Harold the other day at his flower stand. I thought the world of him. We had short but great talks over the years.. Always smiling and upbeat. My heart goes out to his wife and children. I will miss him so much.
