John and Betty were some of our dearest draft horse friends from the beginning. John's early passing was a loss to the draft horse world. Betty, being the tough, determined lady she was an inspiration as she carried on the family farm. Always the same, always a smile and a story whenever you saw her whether you had seen her last week or last year. We will miss her at EVERY horse show in NYS. Prayers for the Beard family and sincere sympathy from the Hall family.

Please accept my condolences on the passing of your mom. Your dad and her were some of my favorite draft horse people that I had the honor of knowing. Betty was a tough, sweet lady and I always enjoyed visiting with her when I would run into her from time to time over the past few years. John and her are probably driving horses in heaven along with all the other great draft horse people and friends who have passed away. Sincerely, Sue Clark
