Hugh and Birdie were great friends of our family. Hugh was a caring, intelligent conversationalist who had a great sense of humor. He was a neighbor who was quick to help and shared the bounty of his garden. My condolences to Mark, Martha and Phyllis at the loss of their wonderful father.

Mark, Martha and Phyllis,
My sincerest sympathy. I remember our experiences at your homes and the 1,000 Islands and Myrtle Beach. Also weeding the shared garden. I know my parents relished the chance to live closer to your parents. Again, I am so sorry for your loss. Your father was a wonderful person!

I will never forget my trip to NY for Martha's wedding and the time I got to spend with Uncle Hugh and his family. Awesome memories. He was the last of the siblings. He could always make each person he met feel special. I'm so glad he came and met my children. We will all miss him so. Love you guys and may you find Gods comfort during this time.

Although I never met any of his family except Birdie, I always enjoyed the few opportunities I had to be with Uncle Hugh.

I offer my condolences and prayers to Hugh's Family. I always enjoyed talking with Hugh on those few occasions that I saw him through the years. Hugh was my first cousin and was the only other male left in my generation. We were all very proud of his many accomplishments and will miss him!
