I was a student at the George Junior Republic in Freeville, NY, back in the late 60’s, early 70’s. Aunt Bea as we called her was the hostess of the dining hall. Everyone loved her. I worked in the kitchen so I got to know her pretty well. We were all away from home, so it meant a lot to have a warm , caring , motherly presence like Aunt Bea in our lives. It is good to know that she was surrounded by a loving family.
