Mary Lu Kinney, 79, of Cortland, passed away September 30th at the Cortland Park Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation . Mary Lu was born on January 27, 1938, the daughter of the late Robert and Eleanor Holmes. She was born in Marathon, N.Y., one of eleven children. In addition to being a Home Maker, Mary Lu enjoyed playing bingo and would volunteer for CAPCO. She was also a member of the Crown Alliance Church. Mary Lu is survived by her son; Robert (Lisa) Hoag, daughter; Debbie Talley, grandchildren Christina, Tanya, Shannon, Kyle, Brandon, Billy Jo, Lisa, and Robert, as well as 15 great grandchildren. Calling Hours will be held on Thursday from 5pm to 7pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to select a charity of their choice.
