Raymond E. Lillie, 69, of Cortland passed away on November 12, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. Raymond was born on June 19, 1948, in Auburn, N.Y., the son of the late Harry Lillie and Katherine Shanahan Lillie. He served his country for four years in the United States Air Force and worked as a mail clerk for the US Postal Service for 30 years. Raymond enjoyed hunting and fishing and immensely enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Diane Robison Lillie of Cortland; daughters Jennifer K. (James G.) Fish of McGraw, Christine A. Lillie (Benjamin) Ambrose of Pawcatuck Connecticut, and Samantha R. (Chad A.) Cumber of Leland North Carolina; Brothers David G. (Sue) Lillie of Bellingham Washington, Bert G. (Larry Chawgo) of Homosassa Florida, and Kenneth J. (Karen) Lillie of Port Byron; grandchildren Nicholas R. Fish, Emily G. Fish, Elyssa C. Fish, Lillie R. Ambrose, Levi B. Ambrose, Raegan L. Cumber and Carson L. Cumber. Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday November 21, 2017 from 2 to 4pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc. A memorial service will immediately follow. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the National Kidney Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
