Obituary of Ruth Davis

Ruth Ann Davis, 73, of Scott NY passed away January 5, 2018 at home with family by her side. She was born August 23, 1944 in Wilkes Barre PA. Ruth enjoyed being with and caring for her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. One of her greatest joys was cooking for her family which brought them all together. In her spare time she enjoyed Lotto and in her younger years fishing on the lake. She is survived by her sons Carlton Davis, Arthur (Heather) Davis, her daughters Janet (Wayne) Relyea, Beth Ann (Jeffrey) Shattuck, her mother Sally Humphreys, her grandchildren Nicholas, Kyle (Nikki), Dylan, Brandon, Julia, Haley, Brianna, her great grandchildren Jayce and Charlotte along with the Vellake children, her brother William (Margie) Humphreys, her sister Beverly (Rich) Sokoloski, nieces and nephews, special friends Shirley Clark and Donna Helms. Ruth was predeceased by her husband Carlton Davis, her father William Humphreys, and her sister Phyllis Wrubel. Calling hours will be Thursday 11 am-12 pm with a funeral service to begin 12 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY, 13045.
