I worked with Laurie for twenty five years. She was a generous kind coworker who gave 110% all the time to the developmentally disabled individuals we cared for. It was clear she loved her job. She always had a sparkle in her eyes and a smile when she talked about her family..Kim and Kami I hope in time you can find some comfort in your memories.

Laurie was one of the most selfless and dedicated workers I have ever met. She treated all the individuals we serve with the utmost care and respect. She always put others needs before her own. Her work ethic was unmatched. To her family may your memories give you comfort at this trying time.

I worked with Laurie for many years and learned so much from her as a co-worker. Laurie was an incredibly hard working and selfless person. She was so competent and so driven to do her best in every situation and for every person she served in her job. I think that her humility kept her from realizing just how great she was at her job or how special her talents were, but all of us who worked with her were inspired to do better by her example. She truly made a very significant difference in so many lives. Kim and Kami, I wish you peace.

To Laurie's Family,
I was very sad to hear of Laurie's passing. I worked at Racker and attended many meetings with her. She was a caring and hard working lady. People who had her as a MSC were very fortunate. My thoughts are with you.

I knew Laurie from work at Broome for 30 years. I always enjoyed her. In the olden days, we did lots of recreational outings and she made each one fun for our individuals. I remember that we had a baby shower for her when she was pregnant with Kami. So many fond memories. I had the greatest regard for Laurie's integrity and professionalism. I'm very sorry to hear that she's gone. I send prayers to you Kim, Kami and your family. Rest in peace, Laurie. Amy

Dear Kim and Cami,
My sincerest condolences. Laurie was a role model in my life. As a new nurse to the DDSO she held my hand in showing me how to care for the individuals. She took such great pride in doing the right thing for everyone. She sacrificed her own time often to make sure someone was well taken care of. I wanted to be like that. I wanted to make Laurie proud of how I handled situations and cared for those individuals. Unfortunately my time there was short. But what I learned through Laurie I still carry with me today.
My heart and prayers are with you. God Bless!

To the family of Laurie,
I am SO Sorry to hear of the loss of an Amazing woman. I worked with her for many years. She was always there for me and all of us. She was the one person that was always showing up with a smile on her face and telling you that you were doing good... or she would correct you nicely if you weren't. I know she was Very proud of her daughter and her family. We didn't talk a lot about family but when she did... she would light up..and get excited telling me the story. Prayers and Good thoughts to you all. Laurie will be Greatly missed.
