Obituary of Linda C. Petrella

Linda C. Petrella, 71, of Cortland, NY passed away with family by her side April 13, 2018 at Hospicare of Ithaca. She was born July 15, 1946 in Cortland, daughter of the late W. Richard and Norma Withey Parker.

Linda graduated from Cortland High School in 1964 then went on to attend and graduate from Phillips School of Cosmetology. She was employed by Dey Brothers, Plaza Hair Salon then was a self-employed hair dresser working from home. In her spare time, she enjoyed bird watching, golfing, skiing and time with family. She had been a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 40 years.

Linda will be forever remembered by her husband and best friend Joseph, their children JoLynn (Robert), Joseph (Charity), and Jeffrey (Katherine) and by her sister and brother Sheila (Michael) and Stephen. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Tatiana, Emily, Danica, and Joseph. Linda will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, April 18 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY, 13045. A celebration of Linda's life will be held at 2 pm, on Saturday, April 21, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 530 Sears Rd, Cortland, NY 13045.
