James (Jim) Garcia, 67, of Marathon passed away April 16, 2018 at home with family by his side after his battle with cancer. He was born December 13, 1950 in Ithaca NY. James has been employed most recently with Springhouse Electric LLC in Dryden as an electrician. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, watching action movies with his two oldest grandchildren, cooking, and a long time fan of the Dallas Cowboys. His greatest joy was being with family, whom will miss him dearly. He is survived by his lifelong friend Shirley (Hoyt) Garcia of Marathon NY, his daughters Millissa (Mark) Ross of Marathon NY, Rosalind (Todd) Schuman of Bellingham WA, his son James (Mallory) Garcia Jr. Bell Buckle TN, his grandchildren Kendra, Bree, Cadence, Asher, and Nolan , his mother Anna R. Watson, his sister Yvette (Danny) Alfred, his brothers Richard (Patty) Garcia, Charles (Donna) Garcia, and William (Nohemi) Garcia. At James request there are no services. The Wright-Beard Funeral Home is serving the family.
