Martha S. 'Marty' Ferris, 68 of Cortland passed away on June 3, 2018 at Cortland Regional Medical Center. She was born on May 21, 1950 a daughter of the late Seely and Laura Tracy Ferris. Marty was a life long Cortland resident. She had a great love for cats, enjoyed sewing, gardening, and her flowers. She truly loved being outdoors and watching wildlife on the hill. Marty was a long time Wal-Mart employee. Marty is survivedy by her brother, John (Patty) Ferris, two sisters, Gale (Jerry) Correia, Ginny (Ferris) Brown, and eight nieces and nephews. A calling hour will be held Wednesday, June 6, 12-1 pm with a memorial service to begin 1 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY, 13045. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Homer, NY.
