Obituary of Elliot E. Mitro

Elliot Mitro, 44, of Cortland died unexpectedly after playing softball June 8, 2018. Elliot was raised and educated in the Binghamton area graduating from Union Endicott High School. While living in Cortland he was employed with Tops and the Cortland City School District. He was an avid Yankees and Steelers fan, along with enjoying playing softball and bowling. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his companion Susan Brown, his son Lucas, his father Andrew Mitro, his brothers Stephen and Thomas Mitro, and large extended family. Elliot was predeceased by his son Logan Edward Brown-Mitro and his mother Mary Susan Mitro. A memorial will be held Wednesday 9-10 am at Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY, 13045. Burial will follow at the Glenwood Cemetery.
