Obituary of Robert K Blakeley

Robert K. "Kent" Blakeley, 72 of Marathon passed away on July 8, 2018 at Cortland Regional Medical Center. He was born on March 11, 1946 in Xenia, OH a son of the late William and Jennie Erich Blakeley. Kent was employed by Greg's supermarket, as a produce manger, he was previously employed by Price-Chopper and Publix Supermarkets. Kent married the former Carol Smith on November 4, 1979. He was a handyman, a true jack of all trades. Kent will be remembered as a good man with a warm heart. Kent is survived by his loving wife, Carol Blakeley, one sister, Susan (Bill) Newman, his pet companion, Honeybear, and several nieces and nephews. Kent was predeceased by his brother, Erich Blakeley. Calling hours will be held Monday, July 16, 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc. 9 Lincoln Ave, Cortland. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 17, 10:00 at Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc. Burial will follow in Lisle Cemetery.
