Obituary of Paula W. Steger

Paula W. Steger, 65, of 6759 Steger Rd., Preble NY, died peacefully at the Beechtree Nursing Facility in Ithaca NY following a lengthy illness. She was born February 19, 1953 in Cortland the daughter of the late Paul and Myra Jean Frey Williams. She graduated from Homer High School in 1971 and CCBI in Syracuse in 1972. She had a passion for gardening, flower, and vegetables. She enjoyed watching NASCAR, the Dallas Cowboys, and attending horse pulling events put on by the New York State Horse Pullers Assoc. She loved taking care of her goats Ida and Ivy, and her cat Muffy. She is survived by her husband of 43 years Gerald Steger of Preble, her brother David (Suzanne) Williams of Idaho, her nephews Steve and Mark Williams of Idaho, Robert Paul (Melissa) Williams of Truxton, her niece Debby (Drew) Starinsky of Cortland, grand nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be Friday 11 am at the Elmwood Cemetery, Preble NY. As per her wishes there will be no calling hours. The Wright-Beard Funeral Home of Cortland is serving the family. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to your local SPCA.
